Happy New Year!
Well to start the year off we lost our MO-JOE! It's not as bad as it sounds. We had to incredibly beautiful cria (baby alpaca) born last summer. Joe is a handsome hucaya male and Moe is an equally handsome suri male. They were purchased by a great family the fall of 09. Well they were weaned and ready to go so Andy & Sara, the new owners, took them to their new home on NewYears day. Congratulations Andy, Sara & family. Be careful Alpacas are like chips. You think aww just a few. Then you want a few more and so on and so on!

The Alpacas are staying warm and cozy this winter with all that beautiful fiber. We are working on cleaning and processing last years fiber. Half the fiber will be sent to the American Co-op. We then buy back goods- socks, scarfs, hats and other items for resale. The other half of the fiber is made into yarn and roving. I spin some of the fiber into yarn and I send the rest off to a Mill in MI. to have processed into yarn.

Check out our news & events page to see all the excitting things going in the Newaygo area and with the Alpacas.

We're on Cloud Nine

White Cloud Alpacas is a smaller family run Alpaca Farm. We have on an average 12 to 20 Alpacas of our own and will occasionally ageist for other farms. We have both Huacaya & Suri's, a few very nice studs and some great bloodlines. We are committed to raising high quality animals. Being very hands on helps our animals to be stress free and easy to work with.

Next to caring for and giving the best to our Alpacas we pride our selfs on excellent customer service and after sales service in all areas of Alpaca life.

White Cloud Alpaca Farm is located in west Michigan about an hour north west of Grand Rapids. We love to have visitors and enjoy the many field trips that come through each year. Expect to be greeted by 2 of our newfoundland dogs. They assume all visitors are here to see them and they just love kids. We also have a few barn cats that can usually be found sleeping the winter days away in our house. Chickens also wander the grounds and give us some great eggs in exchange for housing.

It really does seem like a magical place sometimes and having been suburbanites most of our life's, living out in the country with these wonderful animals is truly a dream come true.
